SAN MATEO, Calif. April 11, 2003 - EGI Technologies today announced the release of the FastPath™ Rapid Application Development tool version 2.7. This most recent version of FastPath™ adds Web Services and data integration capabilities to the J2EE standard Rapid Application Development tool.
The tool provides a graphical approach to rapid application development and deployment (RADD). FastPath™ leverages organization modeling capabilities that simplify and accelerate the design, development and deployment of interactive Web-based applications. The tool incorporates automatic code generation capabilities, enabling application development in a fraction of time compared with traditional Java and database programming approaches.
FastPath™ v2.7 is being used to model and generate Web applications that:
- Incorporate and publish Web Services
- Access ERP systems such as Siebel, Peoplesoft and SAP
- Access JDBC compliant RDBMS such as Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase ASE and DB2
- Access LDAP directory servers and MS Office files
- Manage digital records through their entire life cycle
- Manage customizable workflow and share secured data and files across the enterprise
The FastPath™ methodology minimizes application development effort and increases the flexibility to manage change. The tool enables our partners and engineers to drastically reduce the time and expense of design, customization and deployment of Web-based applications including:
