San Mateo, Calif. - Jan 12, 2004 - EGI Technologies, a leading global
provider of system integration technology and solutions to enterprise
organizations, today announced the release of Object Modeling and
Management (OMM) version 4.0 software. OMM 4.0 runs on Open-Source
database server MySQL 4.0 and Apache Tomcat 4.1 application server, in
addition to all the
current database and application servers that OMM 3.5 runs on.
With this announcement EGI becomes part of a growing community that
delivers solutions and services on the Open-Source platform.
"The OMM 4.0 Release demonstrates our ability to support the Open-Source community,"
said Edward C. Cheng, CEO of EGI Technologies, "Whether our customers want
to work with the Unbreakable Linux
or to optimize on a mainframe platform, EGI has the next generation
OMM integration technology and software ready for them today."
EGI OMM software and FastPath/OMM tools are created based on EGI's patented
OMM Enterprise Modeling technology. It provides a Unified Information Model
to unify multiple data models and disparate data sources together
to form a virtual data source for an enterprise. Working with industry standard data
adapters and Kofax document capture solution, OMM allows a system integrator
or an IT professional to integrate corporate data sources in days without cumbersome
programming efforts. With FastPath/OMM, users can graphically model and integrate
business processes from different systems to provide an integrated business
application solution on the Web.
EGI Electronic Record Management (ERM) and Product Release Manangement (PRM)
Applications run on the OMM Architecture. As such, with OMM 4.0,
these application solutions are supporting the Open-Source platform
seamlessly.
