In 1999 EGI was incorporated with
a focus on the development and marketing of B2B exchange market places
using its patented technology. Immediately after founding EGI,
The EGI team were approached to become joint venture partners
in HKB2Bnet, a public exchange hub to enable electronic trading in
Asia Pacific. An agreement was reached and development on Hong Kong's
first public exchange site began in Spring 2000.
EGI's team delivered the robust HKB2Bnet exchange in August 2000,
serving over 1,500 customers and six vertical industries… an adaptable,
extensible, customerized solution in just a few short months! Under
Edward's leadership as Chairman of HKB2B.net, the company has now
grown to include over ten vertical industries hosting over 5,000 products.
This was accomplished within four month's of its initial launch! |
