In his most recent role before EGI, Edward was Director and Architect at Oracle Corporation where he headed up the Workflow Lab and the Collaborative & Distributive Computing Lab. Prior to joining Oracle, he led the R&D team to deliver ObjectFlow, an object-oriented workflow product at Digital Equipment Corporation and in the late eighties, Edward led the engineering team at Hewlett Packard to accomplish a 2,000% performance improvement on HP SQL.

In addition to his many business accomplishments, Edward maintains strong relationships in the academic world where his extensive research experience includes process automation technology, enterprise modeling and management, fuzzy logic, high performance OLTP systems, journaling and recovery, and distributive databases.

Edward's solid relationships with both, the business community as well as academia, put him in a unique position to take technology beyond database and workflow structure to a place where the logic was built around how the human mind thinks. This led to the birth of the Organizational Concept and Technology Research Laboratory (OCT) in 1997. His research at OCT led to a patent in the areas of Enterprise Modeling, Dynamic Relationship and Business Process Automation covering more than 30 claims critical to enterprise computing and inter-company business applications. This patent enabled the development of the key technology at the core of EGI's Object Modeling and Management (OMM™).

OCT, which is now the R&D division of EGI, conducts collaborative research with Stanford University, MIT, The University of London and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

EGI continues to leverage our patented technology to improve our revolutionary B2B Application Suites as we expand our solutions across the enterprise eBusiness value-chain. Continuing the development of innovative eBusiness solutions, we have four additional patents under review. Additionally, we are in the process of expanding our patent coverage for Europe and six countries in Asia Pacific.

EGI's technology has been successfully adopted by Hitachi America, where the EGI team developed an intra-enterprise application to manage the connections between the people, departments, divisions and projects. By defining four business rules and applying the egi application, they have captured, simplified and now manage over 200,000 dynamic relationships existing between various resources.

When Atlantic Mutual decided to launch InsurePoint, an Internet-based Relationship Management system, they too turned to the EGI team. Once again our technology proved its value and provided Atlantic Mutual with a comprehensive solution built to meet their needs now, yet still remain adaptable, extensible and customerizable to meet their future requirements. And again, the customer was pleasantly surprised with the shortened implementation time (3½ Months) as well as the system's flexibility for managing dynamic relationships. Additionally, we made full use of their legacy systems enabling them to leverage their existing investments.

New World Cyberbase and Unitrade are among the growing number of satisfied customers whose pioneering efforts with EGI helped prove our technology to live up to it's promises. And now that our software is a proven, viable platform, EGI is focusing on expanding our reach and is aggressively marketing our suite of applications powered by the strength of the patented OMM technology.
