  Dr. Edward C. Cheng
President and CEO
  Prior to founding EGI and OCT Research Laboratory, Edward spent 14 years in Silicon Valley holding various management and system architect positions in software R&D organizations. He last held the position of Director of the Collaborative Computing Lab at Oracle Corporation.

Mr. Cheng has led R&D teams at Digital Equipment Corporation, where he filed 2 worldwide patents in workflow and OLTP. He was also the technical leader of a development group, which delivered a 2,000% performance improvement on HP SQL in the late eighties.

His research interests include process automation technology, enterprise modeling and management, high performance OLTP systems, journaling and recovery, and distributive databases. He has also served as an adjunct professor with several local universities.

Eugene Wong
CFO
 
Eugene is an active member of The Aslan Group - a national group of angel investors to early-stage, high tech companies. He is also the President and Chief Executive Officer of AmerAsia Partners, Inc. a private technology investment banking firm-since 1995.

Eugene was a Managing Partner of The International Harvest Group-a boutique investment bank in New York in 1990. Prior to that he served as a Managing Director of the High Yield Securities Department and served on the Investment Committee of Prudential Bache Merchant Banking Fund- an $800 million fund.in 1987; and Senior Vice President in the High Yield and Convertible Bond Department of Drexel Burnham Lambert in 1983.

Eugene serves on several boards-as a director to several high technology companies including StudioNext.com Corporation, EGI, Interequity Capital, Internet Domain Registrars, Inc. and the Chinese Entrepreneur Association. He is a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Business with an M.B.A. in Finance, and of Cornell University with a B.S. in Engineering Physics.

  Barbara J. Reeder
Vice President of Strategy and Marketing
  In this role, Ms. Reeder is leading EGI's global marketing strategy, advertising, brand management, marketing communications and product / services marketing. Additionally, Ms. Reeder is responsible for the development of Strategic Alliances which benefit EGI by offering added value to its customers.

With over twenty-five years of successful experience in sales, marketing and executive management, Ms. Reeder brings in depth understanding of the competitive landscape, and market direction of high technology companies and has a solid reputation of developing strategic liaisons that help enable a company's success.

Prior to joining EGI, Ms. Reeder held several key positions with Avaya Communication, Lucent Technologies, Siemens Business Communications Systems and AT&T Information Systems in Sales, Marketing and Information Technologies. In these positions, Ms. Reeder developed and honed a unique approach to sales and marketing programs by providing interpersonal communication through the use of innovative technologies in order to market innovative technologies. In her most recent role as chief strategist of eCustomer Relationship Management at Avaya, she has become a recognized expert in the field who is often requested to speak at industry conferences.

Ms. Reeder did her undergraduate study at Macomb College in Michigan and is an active member of the Board of Directors for KTEH, Silicon Valley's public television station.

  Curt Bynum
Vice President of Sales
  Curt spent over 25 years at IBM in various technology sales and marketing positions. He has a history of developing teams that typically far exceed revenue and profitability targets including a 600% increase in total revenues over 3 years as a branch manager. He was twice recognized as the Branch Manager of the Year at IBM.

Curt’s management and executive experience includes sales and branch manager, executive marketing, international market requirements, product development, and major systems marketing.

After IBM, Curt served as a marketing strategist for Lucent Technologies working with division officers to develop strategic messages and communications.

Curt attended Biola University and graduated from the IBM System Engineering School in 1980 and completed the IBM Executive Business Management Graduate Program.

  Joseph Ip
Director of Sales and Marketing, Asia Pacific
 

Joseph Ip has a broad background in management, sales and marketing. Joseph spent over 7 years in international sales and management role in the hi-tech and electronics industry.

Joseph last worked at Golden Eagle Electronics which is a privately held wireless electronics products manufacturer where he had the responsibility over ODM & OEM projects for multi-national corporations. His also has the account responsibilities over major enterprises such as Lucent Technologies, K-Mart and Tefal of France. Prior to Golden Eagle, he was with Vivanco Electronics, a German enterprise selling consumer electronics, responsible for all the sales and marketing activities in the Asia Pacific market.

Joseph Ip is also the Managing Director of HKB2Bnet. A joint venture of B2B digital marketplace between EGI and New World Cyberbase.

  Hector Liu
Managing Director of SHB2Bnet
  Hector Liu has a broad management and professional experience covering 10 years in the Internet and IT industry and 20 years in the Telecommunications industry. He also has an international background, holding responsible positions for companies in England, U.S. and the Far East.

Before joining EGI, he was CEO/President of GOLA, Inc., a New York consulting company in developing business strategies for B-B and B-C e-business. Prior to GOLA, Inc. he was with AT&T Lab. and Bell Laboratories, responsible for Intranet and Internet systems development. When he was with Datacraft (Asia) in 1990, he was Project Manager for the development and deployment of the Abacus Computer Reservation System, for Asian airlines.

The other companies he worked for included Frequency Electronics, Inc., New York, Marconi Space and Defense Systems, Ltd, and British Telecom Research Center, in England.

Mr. Liu has a Master Science Degree in Communication Engineering from the University of Manchester, England.
